By logging into the portal you will be able to:
- Review your active protection plan.
- See details of what your plan covers.

- Submit and manage claims for GreenBacks℠ or reimbursement.

Home Protection Plus appliance repair protection plans are offered by Home Protection Plus, a business unit within DTE Gas, a company bringing reliable and safe natural gas to homes and business for 175 years.
With a home protection plus plan key appliances, like furnaces, water heaters, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, laundry appliances and plumbing systems, based on the plan selected, are covered for repair services when they need to be fixed. DTE Gas technicians and contractors authorized by DTE Gas will visit your home to make repairs with no out-of-pocket expense to you at the time of service.
The program is available to qualified DTE Energy residential customers (includes DTE Energy gas and Detroit Edison electric customers).
Coverage begins 15 days after your enrollment is processed. Processing typically takes 1-2 days.

All equipment covered by a Home Protection Plus appliance repair protection plan must meet Code requirements, be reasonably clean and safely accessible, and in good operating condition at the time that the coverage begins. DTE Energy reserves the right to have an on-site inspection of the equipment.

New or old, appliances can break down at any time, and many appliances have warranties of up to only one year. Last year alone, more than 100,000 service calls were covered by Home Protection Plus, saving customers hundreds of thousands of dollars in appliance repair costs.
Simply call our Home Protection Plus appliance repair hotline at 800.556.0011 when something goes wrong with a covered appliance and we'll schedule a service technician to come to your home.
If you added the GreenBacks℠ Cash Option to your selected appliance repair protection plan, you may receive cash to use toward a new appliance—up to $2,500 total each year.

Your monthly or yearly charge will be included in your DTE Energy statement. As long as you pay your DTE Energy bill in full, your coverage is maintained.
Payments made to DTE Energy go toward your utility portion first (electricity and gas), then toward any other DTE Energy products and services on your account. If you haven’t paid your bill in full each month, there is a chance your Home Protection Plus plan has gone unpaid. Please call 800.556.0011 to confirm and determine how much is owed. You can maintain your current coverage by paying the balance in full with a credit card by calling 800.556.0011.
Your regulated utility rates and the conditions of your utility service are not affected by enrollment in Home Protection Plus or by your decision to use the services of another appliance repair provider.
You may cancel your Home Protection Plus contract without penalty up to 10 days after enrollment by calling 800.556.0011 or by e-mail.
